Building Restoration using Antique Lumber and Reclaimed Wood
For old historic building restoration, reclaimed antique lumber and antique reclaimed wood can be used as is. This means working with available dimensions and lengths and accepting some character marks, nail holes, variations in color and grain that result from many years of use in a prior life. Often, washing and brushing can clean up the surfaces while allowing the original character to remain.

1.) The underlying aged patina and grain become more exposed
2.) Most sawn or planed surfaces will be more uniform even though some character marks may remain
3.) Specific dimensions can be created as necessary. You can usually tailor your order to an application.
